I will dominate 'serious combatant' Jake Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer will face Jake Paul in an eight-round match which will be broadcast live on Netflix.

British boxer Anthony Joshua stated he will "dominate completely" Jake Paul and "overpower" the American as the pair met personally to promote the upcoming boxing match.

Ex twice unified boxing king Anthony Joshua meets YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, theoretically, a huge uneven pairing - at Miami's Kaseya Center on December 19th.

Fighter's Mentality

"I'm going to injure his face and break his body up. I aim to demonstrate my superiority," the British boxer, 35, declared.

"I'll stamp all over him. That's a fighter's mentality.

"I intend to really want to cause him pain. That's my goal."

Civil Exchange

In spite of those words, a composed Joshua and internet personality Paul - usually known for his theatrics - were respectful and kept it respectful with each other.

Paul instead criticized ex Joshua's rival the Cameroonian fighter and described him as "a joke" after the Cameroonian rejected a fight offer.

Targeting Tyson Fury

Joshua, meanwhile, criticized UK opponent Tyson Fury - and declined a large bet 'The Gypsy King' says he will place on a victory for Paul.

"[Paul] is better than Fury - he's actually sitting here," the boxer stated.

"I respect him for that."

Serious Fighter

Despite stating he plans to punish Paul, Joshua refused to comment unfavorably about his rival's pugilistic talent.

"Jake is a legitimate boxer," he stated.

Jake Paul's History

Jake Paul - who initially became famous on the Disney Channel - has mostly boxed MMA fighters or past-their-prime fighters since becoming pro.

He lost to British fighter Fury in 2023.

Financial Success

Still, the relative newcomer continues to be one of the sport's largest money-making draws, consistently making substantial financial rewards.

Forecast and Belief

The 28-year-old anticipated a stoppage in round four or five and stated he would stop the much-anticipated Joshua–Fury fight, which is apparently under discussion for two years from now.

"It will be me versus Tyson Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul stated.

Physical Difference

As both boxers engaged in the customary face-off, with their height and weight contrast on show, it highlighted just how improbable this entire matchup is - and how astonishing it is that the fight is actually happening.
